Foundation Leadership Award
May Student of the Month Foreign Language/Fine Arts Department
Kylie Swartz is a graduate of Shepherd Jr. High and the daughter of Todd Swartz and Kendra Mason. Kylie is currently enrolled and on track to complete the College Board AP 2D Portfolio Course.
Kylie has exercised her artistic skills by completing nearly every art course at OTHS. She is always willing to dedicate extra time to a project and explore new ideas. During her time at OTHS, she has positively served as president of Student Council and been a member of the following clubs: DoChange Mentor, Fine Arts Club, Operation Snowflake, Pirates Invade the Ballroom, Student Trainer, Sudsy, and Band. Kylie is a member of the Ottawa Honor Society with a cumulative GPA of 3.8.
Even with her busy high school course schedule, Kylie maintains a consistent work schedule at Walgreen's.
Kylie plans to attend the United States Air Force Academy Prep School for one year. The following year she will continue on to the United States Air Force in hopes of becoming a pilot.
The Fine Arts Department is proud of Kylie's accomplishments and looks forward to hearing about her future successes. Kylie is an ideal recipient of this award. We are proud to nominate Kylie Swartz for the OTHS Foundation May Student of the Month.
