Educators are innovators.

The Ottawa High School Educational Foundation is comprised of local community volunteers, independent of, but working together with the OTHS board for the improvement of student opportunities.

The Educational Foundation was formed in 1993 to secure and channel private funds into enhanced educational programs and equipment. OTHS receives far fewer state tax dollars per pupil than many other schools. The Foundations seeks to provide new equipment, innovate teaching projects, better labs, and the extras for all departments that cannot be afforded within the regular budget. Through the Courtyard Project, which began in the summer of 1998, the Foundation will create a highly visible, on-going funding source to provide for today’s needs, and to build an Endowment Fund for the future. The Ottawa Educational Foundation also provides an avenue for alumni and benevolent community members to donate to the educational needs of students.
